Tajik First Deputy Prime Minister Asadullo Gulomov suddenly died this morning, a source in the government told RIA Novosti.
"On behalf of the president, Gulomov went to inspect the construction site of the Rogun hydropower plant and suddenly died," the source said.
The source did not report other details or the cause of death.
Gulomov was born in Dangara and graduated from Tajik Technical University. In 2005, he graduated from the Academy of State Service under the President of the Russian Federation. In 2003-2006, he was Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan. He was appointed first deputyprime minister on Dec.1, 2006.
