ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, January 18. The Baharden cement plant, which is one of the largest enterprises of the Turkmen industrial complex and located in the Ahal region in the south of the country, increased production by 2.3 percent year-on-year, Trend reports.
According to official data, the total volume of cement produced by the plant last year amounted to about 1 million tons.
Furthermore, the enterprise successfully increased its cement production by an additional 23,000 tons compared to its output in 2022.
The cement produced by the Baharden plant has been actively used over the past year on construction sites deployed throughout the country.
High production figures in the previous year were driven by heightened demand for cement amid a construction boom, and the plant anticipates continued growth in production indicators for the current year.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is actively strengthening its construction sector, which plays a key role in the overall development of industry.
Strategic investments in infrastructure, including the construction of housing, roads, energy facilities, and commercial structures, contribute to the growth of the construction industry.
