BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. The demand for housing in Uzbekistan increased by 20 percent in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports via the Uzbek Central Bank.
From July through September 2022 dynamic growth continued in the real estate market of Uzbekistan, which was due to the growing demand for housing among non-residents, an increase in secondary incomes of the population, as well as a number of seasonal factors.
The main reasons for the sharp rise in prices were the influx of citizens from Russia and the growth of remittances.
An increase in the number of real estate purchase and sale transactions is observed in all regions of the country.
In terms of regions, the highest demand was recorded in Khorezm (41 percent), Navoi (39 percent), Jizzakh (32 percent), and Kashkadarya (30 percent) regions.
