Uzbekistan sets up industrial zone in nation's Akhangaran

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 8. Uzbekistan has set up a tiny industrial hub spanning 15.7 hectares in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region., Trend reports.

As per Uzcharmsanoat (the whole kit and caboodle of leather, fur, and wool, footwear, clothing, as well as skins warehouses in Uzbekistan), a grand total of 23 projects are set to be put into action in the industrial zone by 7 go-getters. The whole shebang of projects comes with a price tag of $31.5 million.

Businesses from Turkey, Russia, and China all work together with local entrepreneurs to make their projects a reality. A small industrial zone is home to a number of businesses, including an automated slaughterhouse, a leather processing cluster, shoe manufacturing operations, and wool processing factories.

In the meantime, talks with Chinese enterprises are being held on the building of water treatment facilities in the small industrial zone, in collaboration with the Uzcharmsanoat Association, Xalq Bank, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The expansion of the leather and footwear small industrial zone in the Tashkent and Jizzakh regions was previously assigned by the President of Uzbekistan as a means to establish clusters of industries that specialize in the deep processing of leather and the production of finished goods.
