TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 29. The volume of agricultural production in Uzbekistan amounted to 163.4 trillion soums ($12.9 billion) from January through June 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 10.3 percent year-on-year (148.1 trillion soums, or $11.7 billion in January–June 2023).
Crop production in the country reached 64.3 trillion soums ($5 billion) from January through June 2024, while livestock production amounted to 99 trillion soums ($7.8 billion) during this period.
Among Uzbekistan’s regions, the most significant volumes of agricultural output were observed in Fergana (17.6 trillion soums, or $1.3 billion), while the lowest volume of production was registered in Karakalpakstan (4.3 trillion soums, or $340.5 million).
Meanwhile, the total volume of agricultural production in Uzbekistan reached 42.3 trillion soums ($3.3 billion) from January through March 2024. Crop production in the country totaled 2.8 trillion soums ($220.9 million), while livestock production reached 39.4 trillion soums ($3.1 billion) during this period.
