According to the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, this figure increased by 21.6 percent compared to the same period last year ($470.7 million from January through July 2023).
Therefore, Afghanistan has entered the top-9 countries in terms of Uzbekistan's foreign economic turnover.
Total exports to Afghanistan from Uzbekistan amounted to $555.7 million, this figure increased by 19 percent year-on-year ($466.7 million from January through July 2023).
Uzbekistan's imports from Afghanistan reached $17.2 million from January through June 2024. This figure increased by 330 percent compared to the same period last year ($4 million from January through July 2023).
Uzbekistan's total trade turnover amounted to $36.8 billion from January through July 2024. This indicator increased by 5.4 percent compared to the same period last year ($34.9 billion from January through July 2023).
The country's exports reached $14.7 billion from January through July 2024, while imports totaled $22 billion.
