TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 29. Uzcharmsanoat (Uzbekistan's leather association) and Turkish SARRE company plan to implement a project for the production of artificial leather for furniture manufacturing, Trend reports.
The matter was reviewed at a meeting between Uzcharmsanoat and SARRE within the framework of the recent meeting between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Transport of Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed the organizational aspects of the project, emphasizing its potential to make a significant contribution to the development of Uzbekistan’s furniture industry.
During a briefing following a trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani and Turkish Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov and Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov said that Uzbekistan may become a transport and logistics center for Turkish and Azerbaijani companies to enter new markets.
“In the conditions of serious challenges in the field of logistics, the geographical location of our three brotherly countries and their transit potential acquire strategic importance. Close cooperation in this sphere will not only ensure the stability of cargo transportation but will also make it possible to create new transportation corridors that meet the requirements of the modern global economy," Saidov said.
