TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 17. The Uzcharmsanoat (Uzbekistan's leather, footwear, and fur industry association) has outlined its key objectives for 2025, aiming to expand the number of exporting enterprises and achieve an export target of $250 million, Trend reports.

The news follows a meeting of the association’s management, attended by representatives from the central office, regional departments, and the design center. Specific measures were identified to strengthen cooperation with exporters and explore new international markets.

A strategy will be developed to assist enterprises in entering foreign markets, while new mechanisms and operational systems will be introduced to enhance collaboration with international partners and attract foreign investors. A roadmap has also been prepared, detailing concrete steps and strategies to ensure the effective implementation of these plans.

The successful execution of these initiatives is expected to drive further growth in Uzbekistan’s leather industry in 2025, opening up new opportunities for development.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 885.8 trillion soums ($68.5 billion) in 2024. This figure has increased by 34.4 percent year-on-year (659 trillion soums, or $51 billion in 2023).
