TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 22. A working group from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade, led by Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov, visited the Tashkent region, where construction has commenced on the development project for the Syurenata deposit in the Parkent district, Trend reports.
During the visit, in collaboration with representatives from the foreign partner company Limaomaoli Metal Company, plans were developed to expedite the project’s implementation.
Once launched, the project will enable the production of 2.4 million tons of iron ore per year, with the complex’s capacity reaching 1 million tons of iron ore concentrate annually.
Within the framework of the project, it is expected that $50 million will be invested in the iron ore project, which will eventually create 400–500 new jobs.
