The U.S. hopes for a solution to the Iranian nuclear problem by diplomatic means, a source in the American delegation at the negotiations underway in Alma-Ata, told RIA Novosti.
"We will make some suggestions to Iran that may help find diplomatic solutions to this problem," the U.S. delegation representative said.
Negotiations of the 'Group of six' (Russia, U.S., EU, China, France and Germany) of the international mediators on Tehran's nuclear programme with Iranian representatives are underway in Kazakhstan on Tuesday.
The U.S., other Western countries and Israel suspect Iran of developing nuclear weapons under the guise of a peaceful nuclear energy programme. Tehran denies the charges, saying its nuclear programme is for civilian purposes.
