The conditions of all joint fields in Iran will be known within two years, Deputy Executive Director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Reza Dehgan said.
The National Iranian Oil Company has a plan to maintain the production in the amount of $6.2 billion and increase it, Dehgan added, Trend reports referring to IRINN.
He added that 10 agreements were signed in connection with the plan on the development of joint fields and eight contracts will be signed during the next few weeks.
The remaining packages of the plan will also be disclosed till the end of the year (March 21, 2020), Dehgan said. He added that the winner of the tender in connection with the Forouzan field within the plan will be named soon.
The construction of the Qure-Jask export pipeline and the terminal at Jask, which is a strategic project for Iran, is on the agenda, Dehgan said. In his words, it will guarantee the stability of Iran's crude oil export, he added.
Some 10-15 percent of oil layers in the South Pars field, which is a joint gas field between Iran and Qatar, are owned by Iran. There is a plan for the development of this field, Dehgan said.
He added that after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was signed, the discussions were held with two international companies. However, the discussions on the re-imposition of sanctions were ceased.
However, such discussions are on the agenda and an agreement on the development of this field will be signed in the near future, Dehgan said.
He said that the agreement on the development of Sepehr and Jofair fields was signed on September 15.
Dehgan added that Iran wants to cooperate with other countries. However, if the situation changes, the entire work will be carried out through the local potential.
The JCPOA is under implementation between Iran and the P5+1 group (US, Russia, China, UK, France and Germany) in connection with Iran's nuclear program since January 2016.
In May 2018, the US announced its withdrawal from the deal and imposed sanctions against Iran in November of the same year.
