Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani arrived in Afghan capital Kabul on Saturday.
During his visit, Gilani will meet with Afghan President Hamid Karzai on the matters of mutual interests. They will also discuss the issues of war on terror and the situation in the region, official from the Presidential Palace Hamed Elmi said, Xinhua reported.
Gilani and Karzai will hold a press conference after their meeting later in the day, Elmi said.
A high ranking delegation including Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani is accompanying the Prime Minister during his tour to Afghanistan, a private news agency Bost-Bostan reported.
This is Prime Minister Gilani's second visit to Afghanistan.
Previously, he visited Afghan capital Kabul in December 2010.
