BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. Bank deposits from Azerbaijan’s Karabakh economic region have seen steady growth, reaching 97.8 million manat ($57.5 million) as of September 1, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan indicates
that this metric experienced an uptick of 2 million manat ($1.1
million), representing a 2.1 percent escalation relative to the
preceding month, and a substantial increase of 12.7 million manat
($7.4 million), equating to a 15 percent growth when juxtaposed
with the corresponding timeframe from the previous year.
In the interim, the financial inflows from the East Zangezur
economic zone aggregated to 818,000 manat ($481,176), reflecting an
increment of 40,000 manat ($23,529), equating to a 5.1 percent
uptick on a month-over-month basis.
In the diverse economic landscape of Azerbaijan, the aggregate
volume of bank deposits has ascended to 15.4 billion manat
(equivalent to $9 million), reflecting a marginal uptick of 4.5
million manat (approximately $2.6 million), or a nominal 0.03
percent increment, relative to the preceding month. Furthermore, a
comparative analysis reveals a substantial year-over-year
enhancement of 1.3 billion manat (around $764.7 million),
translating to a robust 9 percent growth vis-à-vis the
corresponding timeframe in 2024.
