Turkey's export of steel to Georgia slightly decreased in January 2020, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend on Feb. 24.
In January 2020, Turkey’s export of steel to Georgia amounted to $8.8 million, which is 2 percent less compared to the same month of 2019.
In 2019, steel export from Turkey to Georgia decreased by 1.6 percent compared to 2018, and amounted to $125.7 million.
In January 2020, export of steel from Turkey to world markets dropped by 4 percent, amounting to $1.1 billion.
Turkey’s steel export amounted to 7.8 percent of country’s total export in January 2020.
From January 2019 through January 2020, Turkey’s export of steel amounted to $13.7 billion or 7.6 percent of country’s total export for this period.
