Deleting your Trend.Az account

Last updated: 7 September 2026

This page explains how to delete your Trend.Az account and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to accounts created on trend.az and in the Trend.Az mobile application, including accounts created by signing in with Google or with Apple.

How to delete your account from the app

This is the fastest way, and it completes the deletion immediately:

  1. open the Trend.Az app;
  2. go to Settings;
  3. make sure you are signed in — your name is shown at the top of the Authorization section;
  4. tap Delete account;
  5. read the warning and confirm.

Your account is deleted as soon as you confirm. You are signed out on every device, and nothing further is required from you.

How to request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, write to [email protected] from the email address your account is registered to, and ask us to delete your account. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the address before we proceed. We complete such requests within 30 days.

What we delete

Deletion is permanent. There is no restore, no grace period and no archived copy that we can hand back to you. We delete:

  • your account and profile: name, email address, phone number, company and any other details you supplied;
  • your password;
  • your subscriptions and newsletters, including the delivery settings and filters attached to them;
  • the record of articles you opened under a news-pack subscription;
  • your sign-in history, including the IP addresses it contains;
  • unused promotional codes issued to you;
  • your email address in our mailing service, which is removed from every mailing list.

Signing in with Google or Apple

If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the token Apple issued for Trend.Az at the moment of deletion, so the app stops appearing under Settings → your Apple ID → Sign in with Apple on your device. If you signed in with Google, deleting the account ends our access; you can also review it at any time in your Google account under Third-party apps & services.

What we keep, and why

We keep records of payments and orders — what was purchased, when, for how much, and by what payment method. Accounting and tax law requires us to retain these documents, and they are also what allows a payment dispute to be resolved after the fact.

These records are kept without a link to you: the account identifier is removed and the record is marked as belonging to a deleted account. Technical details that are not needed for accounting, such as the IP address from which a payment was made, are deleted along with the rest of your data.

We may also retain information where the law requires us to keep it, or where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
