All religious representatives in Palestine must hold referendum on self-determination: Iranian spiritual leader

Christians, Muslims and representatives of other religions in Palestine must hold referendum of self-determination and decide their future fate, Iranian Spiritual Leader Ali Khamenei said at an opening ceremony of the fourth conference on Palestine.

Khamenei said the West does not choose this solution way and violates democracy principles, IRINN TV channel reported lively. "Referendum will be a test for the West," he said.

Most countries did not recognize results of the democratic elections in the Western Bank of the Jordan river, the spiritual leader said. "This fact is connected with their seeking to destabilize situation and provoke war," he added. "And their peace negotiations are lie."

Palestinians' key problem is to restore the Gaza Strip, Khamenei said. The Hamas government must pay a key role in restoring Gaza, he said.

The fourth international conference on the topic of "Palestine - model for resistance, Gaza - victim of crime began on Tehran on March 4 and will last two days. Some 80 countries' parliaments and 15 countries' parliamentary speakers attend the conference.
