Azerbaijan’s new diaspora organization set up in Spain

Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 24/ Trend , J. Babayeva/ Azerbaijan-Spain Fraternal Society entitled Elmira was set up in Valencia city of Spain. The Society aims at gaining recognition of Azerbaijan in Spain, strengthening ties between Spanish and Azerbaijan people and ensuring closer familiarization of compatriots living in Valencia with Spain," State Committee for Diasporas said to Trend .

Elmira Fraternal Society will establish ties with other Azerbaijani communities operating in this country and diaspora organizations of other countries. Courses of Azerbaijani and Spanish language and workshops on Azerbaijani history and culture are expected to be organized in future. 

The organization has been registered by the governor's office of Valencia. The head of the organization is Gulnara Khanbabayeva.
