Final competitions of adult group teams were over at the European Championship on Rhythmic Gymnastics in Bremen.
Azerbaijani group, including Jaila Guliyeva, Stephanie Trayanova, Anastasia Prasolova, Nigar Abdusalimova, Jamila Huseynova and Aelita Khalafova participated in both finals, the Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation said. Our team with the result of 25,875 points ranked the fifth place in an exercise with three ribbons and two ropes. It ranked the seventh place (26 points) in composition with five hoops. The Russian group won both times.
Our gymnasts failed to get Olympic licenses. The group team consisting of Irada Ahadzade, Medina Hasanova, Mansoura Mekhtiyeva and Alija Pashayeva took the third place. The Russian team took the first place and won a trip to Singapore.
There were six licenses in the junior tournament. Azerbaijani gymnast Jala Garatova took the eighth place.
It should be noted that at the current championship Azerbaijani team won two medals. Lala Yusifova won silver in the exercise with the ball, and Aliya Garayeva - bronze in all-around competitions.
