BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. A total of 37,538 borrowers have been issued mortgage loans in the amount of 2.1 billion manat ($1.2 billion) through Azerbaijan Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, the fund told Trend.
Some 1,500 citizens improved their living conditions as part of mechanism for renting apartments with the right to purchase, fund said.
The amount of guarantees and subsidies provided by fund for business projects amounted to 293.06 million manat ($172.4 million).
Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund was established in 2017 by the Decree of the Azerbaijani President through the reorganization and merger of the Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund OJSC and the Azerbaijan Credit Guarantee Fund OJSC.
