BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The average monthly nominal wage of salaried employees in Azerbaijan increased by 9.3 percent from January through March 2024 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 985,3 manat ($579.2), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 4,238 manat ($2,491), and in the non-oil and gas sector, 923.8 manat ($543). Salaries of employees of state enterprises amounted to 936.4 manat ($550.4), and those of private enterprises were 1,038 manat ($610.1).
The highest wages were recorded for workers in mining, insurance, and finance, information and communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
