Azerbaijan reveals nominal wage growth rate for salaried employees

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. The average monthly nominal salary of salaried employees in Azerbaijan from January through May 2024 increased by 9.4 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1,003 manat ($590), Trend reports.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 3,901 manat ($2,294), and in the non-oil and gas sector, 948.7 manat ($558). Salaries of employees of state enterprises amounted to 945 manat ($555.8), and for private enterprises, 1,066 manat ($627).

The department data indicate that the highest wages were recorded for workers in mining, insurance and finance, information, and communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
