ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 22. Today, the company KazMunayGas accounts for 26 percent of all oil production in the country, 56 percent of its transportation, and 80 percent of its processing, said the Chairman of the Management Board of KMG during a media briefing, Trend reports.
KazMunayGas held a briefing for the media today. During the briefing, the Chairman of the Management Board of KMG, Askhat Khasenov, shared the company’s performance indicators for the first 9 months of the year, major investment projects, activities of KMG’s oil extraction and refining enterprises, and company plans.
KazMunayGas extracted 18 million tons of oil in the first 9 months, a 3 percent increase over the same period last year. The volume of oil transportation grew by 6 percent, reaching 63 million tons. The company produced 166,000 tons of polypropylene, completed guarantee tests, and increased production by 84 percent.
KazMunayGas holds 46 percent of the assets in Samruk-Kazyna, and its share in tax and other payments to the state budget and the National Fund of Kazakhstan amounts to 10 percent.
The company maintains credit ratings in the "green zone" and has increased dividends from $72.32 million to $602.68 million tenge per year since 2018, demonstrating its financial stability.
The head of KMG also emphasized the company’s social responsibility. Over the past 10 years, KazMunayGas has transferred $52.6 million to local budgets under subsoil use contracts.
