BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 12. Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through October 2024 amounted to $38.41 billion with the inclusion of the estimated statistical value of exported crude oil and natural gas registered with customs authorities but not fully cleared.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan shows that the local legal and physical entities conducted trade operations with partners in 172 countries worldwide in the reporting period.
The country exported goods to 120 countries and imported from 162 countries.
Out of the total trade turnover, $21.78 billion (56.7 percent) was the value of exports, while $16.64 billion (43.3 percent) accounted for imports, resulting in a positive trade balance of $5.14 billion.
Compared to 10 months of 2023, the foreign trade turnover remained unchanged at 100 percent in nominal terms, but in real terms, it decreased by 3.9 percent, with exports dropping by 5.9 percent and imports decreasing by 0.4 percent.
Non-oil and gas exports totaled $2.81 billion, increasing by 3.5 percent in nominal terms but declining by 9.1 percent in real terms.
