BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. The ball is rolling in Zar village, nestled in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district, as the first phase of reconstruction kicks off, putting the spotlight on construction and beautification projects, Trend reports.
The pertinent initiatives have been launched by the Social Development Fund targeting former internally displaced persons.
In the first phase of the project, construction and beautification work will include the building of 547 individual residential houses, social facilities, engineering communications, and road networks for the 855-family settlement.
The Fund has projected that the aggregate expenditure for these initiatives will culminate at 138.5 million manat ($81.4 million).
To note, Zar village was occupied by Armenian armed forces in 1993. Following the victory of the Azerbaijani Army in the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, and under the trilateral agreement signed on November 10, 2020, Kalbajar was returned to Azerbaijan on November 25, 2020.
