ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 12. Last week, 31 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
Representatives from the business circles of the UAE, Türkiye, and Afghanistan purchased petroleum road bitumen, lighting kerosene, and base oil produced by the State Concern Turkmennebit for foreign currency. Afghan representatives also acquired sodium chloride and liquefied gas produced at the technological facilities of the State Concerns Turkmenhimiya and Turkmengaz, respectively.
In addition, cotton yarn was sold for foreign currency to buyers from the UAE and Kyrgyzstan. The total value of these transactions exceeded $4.579 million.
On the domestic market, Turkmen entrepreneurs purchased petroleum road bitumen from Turkmennebit, smooth and jacquard terry products, cotton yarn, and fabric for more than 88 million manats ($25 million).
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan is the official exchange in Turkmenistan where various goods, including raw materials, energy resources, and industrial products, are traded. The exchange plays a significant role in the country's economic activities, particularly in facilitating international trade and domestic business transactions.
