Four Turkish vessels detained in Georgian waters for poaching

Georgian Poti Coastguard officers detained four Turkish vessels for poaching and abusing navigation rules, the Georgian Border Police Office told Trend .

Around 41 tons of fish were uncovered on the Turkish-flagged Qoroglu Balik Chilik vessel.

The ship's owner was fined 50,000-70,000 lari according to the Georgian Administrative Code.

The cargo was confiscated.

The other detained Turkish vessels include Ozbek Su Urunleri-4, Zavan Avci and Ilmaz Balikcilik.

Each will be fined 50,000 lari.
