George Pertaia has been appointed as Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister of Georgia for the protection of business interests. He was introduced by the Prime Minister spokesman Nikoloz Mchedlishvili.

According to Mchedlishvili, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri several days ago at a meeting with Georgian businessmen said a post of chief adviser to prime minister will be established to facilitate the relationship between government and business.

"George has good experience in this sphere. the Georgian business circles know it well. Several years ago, George worked as chairman of the Trade and Transportation Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce and his main function was to protect the interests of business. He returned to Georgia three weeks ago," Mchedlishvili said.
