Uzbek Agrobank increases assets by 14 percent in first quarter

Uzbekistan's joint-stock commercial bank Agrobank, which is included in the list of the five largest banks in the country, increased assets, calculated in national accounting standards (NAS) by 13.8 percent in January - March 2011, compared to total indicators of 2010 to 1.913 trillion soums, the bank's leadership said.
The bank's loan portfolio has grown since early year by 25.6 percent - to 1.296 trillion soums, the liabilities - by 19.6 percent to 1.687 trillion soums. The bank's aggregate capital increased by two percent from early year and amounted to 225.376 billion soums as of April1, 2011 given formed authorized capital in the amount of $ 115.07 billion soums.
