The Kanghan Persian Gulf waterfront in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) started harboring the COMBIDOCK3 ship from Singapore, Fars News Agency reported, quoting the Head of Assalouyeh's port and navigation Mahmoud Hakani as saying.
"The waterfront is able to harbor ships with an 11-meter draft which are 170 meters long and offers services. The waterfront launched a second site of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ)", he said.
Launching a new waterfront enables the transfer of refinery equipment and would accelerate development of South Pars Phases.
Iran 's South Pars oil and gas field is one of the largest in the world and predicts up to $130 billion in revenues per year. The South Pars oil and gas field covers an area of 3,700 square kilometers. It is located 3,000 meters below the seabed.
