Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry created a working group on the development of the machine building industry for the energy sector, the energy minister, Vladimir Shkolnik, said Feb. 6.
"The Energy Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan created a working group on the development of the machine building industry for the energy sector, which aims to open new productions for manufacturing the Kazakh products," said Shkolnik at a forum held in the city of Uralsk.
He added that Kazakhstan's government drafted a plan to support the industrial enterprises in 2015.
"The next few years will be a time of global trials," the minister said. "The whole architecture of the world will change.
"Not all the countries will be able to suitably go through this difficult stage," Shkolnik said. "This line will be crossed by only strong states, the nations that are united."
He also noted that Kazakhstan, as part of the global economy, and as a country that is in close proximity to the epicentre of geopolitical tension, is experiencing the negative impact of these processes.
Some 28 memorandums for supporting domestic manufacturers were signed following the forum on issues of local content.
The administration of West Kazakhstan province, trade unions and employers signed 8 social memorandums with the support of Kazakh Energy Ministry.
These memorandums reflect the obligations of employers in maintaining jobs.
Moreover, 20 trilateral memorandums were signed between the administration of West Kazakhstan province and economic entities: producers and consumers of goods and services. These documents envisaged rendering assistance to the domestic manufacturers.
PSA LLP, Kazakhavtodor Republican State Enterprise, Atyrau refinery LLP, Zhayykteploenergo JSC and others were among the signers of the memorandums on local issues.
