The large Azerbaijani industrial company METAK LLC plans to expand its production capacity, managing director of the company Aydin Karimov told Trend Aug. 30.
The managing director said new projects will be launched by the end of 2018.
"Today we are working on four new production projects. I cannot name them more specifically yet, but I will say that all of them are currently at the stage of signing contracts," Karimov said.
Karimov added that the company also intends to increase the issue of securities, but is not going to hold an IPO yet.
"Our bonds are actively traded on the Baku Stock Exchange, which makes us happy. We plan to increase the issue of securities next year. This is expected to happen by the end of March 2019. As for the IPO, it is necessary to meet a number of requirements. This tool is a bit complicated for our country as a whole. First, the interest in the company's securities must increase. We have the intention to hold an IPO, but this can happen in three or four years," Karimov said.
METAK LLC, operating since 1997, specializes in production of various pipes and fittings. Currently, the company offers local and foreign consumers more than 250 types of products, including pipes and fittings made of polypropylene, reinforced fiberglass pipes, and plastic and metal fittings.
Most of the company's products are sold in the domestic market, but a certain share is also supplied to Russia.
