BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 25. The volume of gold bars produced at Iran’s Mouteh Gold Complex in Isfahan Province fell by 2.3 percent in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
As indicated in the data of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the complex produced 167 kilograms of gold bars during the reporting period. However, the production stood at 171 kilograms in the same period last year.
In general, the Mouteh Gold Complex aimed to produce 165 kilograms of gold bars in 8 months. Compared to the plan, gold bar production increased by 1 percent.
Over the 8th month alone (October 23 through November 21, 2023), 18 kilograms of gold bars were produced at the Mouteh Gold Complex, which is an increase of 12.5 percent compared to 16 kilograms in the same month last year.
Along with gold mines, the Mouteh Gold Complex houses a gold processing plant. In this plant, gold is processed and ingots are produced. The gold ingot produced by the complex is sold by Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company (IMPASCO).
The Mouteh gold mine is located in Mouteh village in Maymeh county of Isfahan Province. The mine was commissioned in 1993. Up to 300 tons of pure gold may be produced in the mine a year.
