BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. The volume of foreign investments in Tehran province in northern Iran in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) amounted to $403 million, Deputy Governor of Tehran Province for Economic Affairs Mohammad Ali Mehri told reporters, Trend reports.
He pointed out that three years ago (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), the volume of foreign investments in Tehran province was $183 million.
Ali Mehri said that, along with other provinces of Iran, there is significant interest from foreign investors in the production enterprises and facilities in Tehran province.
To note, according to the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, from August 12, 2021 through May 20, 2024, Russia, China, and the UAE were the most interested in investing in Iran. During this period, Russia's investments in Iran amounted to $2.81 billion across 10 projects, China's investments - $2.12 billion across 88 projects, and the UAE's investments - $1.42 billion across 60 projects.
