ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 17. The company “Kazakhstan Atomic Electric Stations” (KAES), owned by “Samruk-Kazyna,” has been transferred into trust management under the Atomic Energy Agency (AEA), Trend reports via the AEA.
The Limited Liability Partnership “Kazakhstan Atomic Electric Stations” (LLP “KAES”), following the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 28, 2025, No. 861, has been classified among the subordinate organizations of the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“To promptly launch the activities of the partnership and to accelerate the implementation of the nuclear power plant construction project, a trust management agreement was concluded with the agency,” the published statement says.
The AEA reminded that, to date, 100 percent of the authorized capital of KAES remains owned by the state holding. According to the terms of the agreement concluded with the AEA, the agency has been granted management rights over the participation share in KAES, including decision-making on strategic and operational matters.
“At the same time, preparation is ongoing for the procedure to transfer the participation share in LLP ‘KAES’ into republican ownership, with subsequent consolidation of the rights of ownership and use by the agency,” the agency reported.
