PremiumBTC to pump more Kazakh oil in April

The Tengizchevroil joint-stock company will dispatch 1.6 million barrels of oil, produced from Kazakhstan's Tengiz field, from the Turkish port Ceyhan in April compared to 600,000 barrels in March.

The Energy Intelligence Group provided a dispatch schedule to the Trend . According to the schedule, two consignments of the Tengiz oil will be dispatched from Ceyhan on Apr. 7-9 and 28-30.

In 2008, ChevronTexaco started shipping oil from Kazakhstan's Tengiz field through the territory of Azerbaijan. The oil is transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and by the railway to the Georgian ports Batumi and Kulevi.

ChevronTexaco-operated Tengiz field is developed by Tengizchevroil operating company.

BTC company shareholders include: BP (30.1%); AzBTC (25%); Chevron (8.90%); Statoil Hydro (8.71%); ТРАО (6.53%); Eni (5%); Total (5%); Itochu (3.40%); Inpex (2.50%); ConocoPhillips (2.50%) and Hess (2.36%).

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (Socar) owns an oil terminal in Georgia's Kulevi port on the Black Sea and KazMunayGaz owns an oil terminal in Batumi.
