One more unsanctioned insert in the operation of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline has been uncovered by employees of the Russian Interior Ministry Economic Security Department on the territory of the Dagestan Republic, the RBK reported.
In particular, unsanctioned insert, as well as a mini plant which operated on stolen oil was uncovered in the Kaitag region. An oil refining facility, seven industrial and two self-made capacities of over 100 tons of crude oil and about 20 tons of oil products were uncovered on the territory of the oil refining plant. An expertise has proved that the oil at the plant was identical to the oil pumping via the pipeline.
A criminal case has been filed over the fact on the Article 3.158 (theft) and 3.175 (acquisition or sale of property through crime) of the Russian Federation.
The Interior Ministry said the abduction of oil via the pipeline dropped by 13 percent since complex operative measures have been carried out of January-April 2009. A total of 248 facts of encroachment upon the pipeline transport, out of which 76 were unsanctioned insert in the operation of pipeline and 172 - oil related products have been uncovered. Some 160 people and 107 units of transport have been detained.
