During the first four months of 2010 production growth in the oil industry of Turkmenistan has made 0.7 percent, in oil processing - 0.2 percent, the Turkmenistan's State Committee for Statistics said.
Compared to the same period of 2009 export of liquefied natural gas, oil and oil products, polypropylene has increased.
Much of the oil produced in the country fall to the country. Usually this figure varies each year within the seven million tons. For this purpose capacity of oil refineries in Turkmenbashi and Sadie are used.
The main oil producer is the state concern Turkmenneft. The country has identified over a thousand prospective oil and gas structures, more than 150 fields opened mainly in West and East Turkmenistan, only one third of which is under development.
Turkmenistan has been actively purchasing crude oil tankers in recent years.
Compared to the same period of 2009 specific growth rate of industrial and other products have been reached, State Committee for Statistics said.
In the production of non-metallic construction materials growth made 53.1 per cent, metallic structures - 10 percent, plastic pipes - 37.2 percent, cotton fiber - 18.5 percent, carpets- 5,3 percent, and cement - 18 percent, iodine - 4,2 percent, mineral fertilizers - 4 percent, pharmaceuticals - 0,2 percent, canned meat - 45,3 percent, fish products - 22.3 per cent.
