BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 5. Iran's Tehran Oil Refining Company aims to boost daily gasoline output by 1.5 million liters soon, the company's executive director Hamed Armanfar said, Trend reports.
According to Armanfar, this will raise the company’s production from 6.5 to 8 million liters per day.
The director added that the company is also building a plant to improve the quality of its gasoline (CCR), which will meet Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards when operational.
To note, Iran currently produces an average of 115 million liters of gasoline and 112 million liters of diesel per day.
At present, over 70 percent of gasoline and diesel in the country (75 million liters of gasoline and 70 million liters of diesel) is produced in accordance with Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards.
By March 20, 2027, it is planned to produce more than 75 percent of gasoline and diesel in accordance with Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards.
