The Compulsory Insurance Bureau of Azerbaijan has given permission to the Naxchivan Sigorta insurance company to carry out activities within the Green Card system, Trend reports on May 8 referring to a source in the bureau.
Thus, the number of insurance companies in Azerbaijan that have the right to operate within the Green Card system has reached 12.
The insurer members of the Bureau of Compulsory Insurance under the Green Card system are insurance companies Ata Sigorta, Ateshgah Sigorta, Azerbaycan Senaye Sigorta, AzSigorta, State Commercial Insurance Company of Azerbaijan, Baki Sıgorta, Gunay Sigorta Sigorta, Mega Sigorta, Pasha Sigorta, Qala Sigorta, and Xalq Sigorta.
The ‘Green Card’ in insurance activities is an international agreement on motor third-party liability insurance, as well as an agreement on mutual recognition by the countries participating in the agreement of an insurance policy on liability insurance of motor vehicle owners.
Currently, the Green Card system covers 48 countries of Europe, Asia, and Africa (including Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Israel, Morocco, and Tunisia).
