BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 7. The amount of credit insurance fees in Azerbaijan increased 4.44 times year-on-year from January through April 2023, Trend reports.
According to the CBA, fees in this segment amounted to 89 million manat ($52.3 million) from January through April 2023 against 20 million manat ($11.7 million) for the same period in 2022.
Insurance payments amounted to 470 manat or $276.47 (no insurance payments were made last year) during the reporting period.
Meanwhile, insurance companies in Azerbaijan collected insurance premiums in the amount of over 467.5 million manat ($274.9 million), and payments amounted to 134.6 million manat ($79.1 million) during the reporting period.
