Kazakhstan sets coal export record by rail in June 2025

In June 2025, Kazakhstan celebrated a remarkable achievement in coal export by rail, with JSC Shubarkol Komir shipping 841,000 tons – an impressive 26 percent above the 2025 monthly average. Total coal transport reached 1.2 million tons, reflecting an impressive 11.1 percent year-on-year increase, with 326,000 tons moved domestically.
