The U.S. airbase Manas, used for support of the antiterrorist operations in Afghanistan, is working in its regular mode, as actual withdrawal has not started yet, Interfax agency reported referring to a representative of the base, News Agency "24.kg" reported.
"Functioning of the base has not been changed. We have plenty of time before August 18 to pull out U.S. troops from the Manas in Kyrgyzstan," press service of the base reported.
The airbase reportedly continues fulfilling its job on aircrafts' refueling and transportation of goods to Afghanistan as before.
Kyrgyzstan had terminated agreement with the United States and officially voiced its decision in February, 2009. Agreements with other 11 members of the antiterrorist coalition were also denounced in early March, 2009.
