DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, February 18. Tajikistan's wool production reached 9,094 tons in 2024, which is a 3.9 percent increase compared to 2023.

Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Agency of Tajikistan also shows that silkworm cocoon production totaled 361 tons, which is 1.6 times higher than in the preceding year.

As of January 1, 2025, there were 2.789 million cattle in all types of farms in Tajikistan, a 4.8 percent increase from the same date last year. The number of sheep and goats also rose, reaching 7.150 million, which is a 7.4 percent increase.

The value of agricultural production in Tajikistan reached 73 billion somoni ($6.6 billion) in 2024, increasing by 10.6 percent compared to 2023.

Tajikistan's crop production reached a value of 50.984 billion somoni ($4.6 billion) in 2024, which is a 13.4 percent increase compared to 2023. Meanwhile, livestock production amounted to 22.991 billion somoni ($2.1 billion), which is a 4.8 percent increase compared to the previous year.
