TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 27. The first private airfield in Uzbekistan and the only one in Central Asia will be constructed in Akhangaran, Trend reports.
Agreements on the construction of the airfield in the Yangi Hayot settlement of Tashkent's Akhangaran district were signed in Shenzhen within the framework of the Uzbek-Chinese business forum.
Uzbekistan's first private airfield will be built with 100 percent Chinese capital participation. The cost of the project is estimated at $380 million.
The construction of the air harbor is planned to start in the second half of this year.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan and China signed an agreement to increase the number of flights between the countries.
The protocol of the agreement provides for increasing the number of flights between the parties to 100 per week (50 flights by airlines of both countries), changing the pre-established 7 cities for flight geography to a choice of an unlimited number of cities, as well as changing the number of airlines serving 3 airlines to an unlimited number of airlines.
