Uzbekistan reveals trade turnover figures for 7M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 21. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $36.8 billion from January through July 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 5.4 percent year-on-year ($34.9 billion in January-July 2023).

Uzbekistan's exports reached $14.7 billion from January through July 2024, while imports amounted to $22 billion.

The largest trade turnover volume was recorded with China ($6.85 billion) during this period. Russia ranked second with a total trade turnover volume of $6.8 billion, followed by Kazakhstan ($2.2 billion).

Among the country's regions, the city of Tashkent accounts for the largest amount of trade turnover, at $14.6 billion, followed by the Tashkent region ($3.1 billion) and the Andijan region ($2.3 billion) during this period.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $31.8 billion from January through June 2024. This figure indicates a 8.5 percent growth year-on-year ($29.3 billion in January-June 2023).

Uzbekistan's exports totaled $12.9 billion, while imports reached $18.8 billion during this period.
