TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 2. Uzbekistan's import of beverages and tobacco stood at $12.7 million in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country’s Statistics Agency shows that this indicator demonstrated a growth of 11.4 percent year-on-year ($11.4 million in January 2024).
The import of beverages amounted to $7.8 million in January 2025, up 2.6 percent from the previous year ($7.6 million in January 2024).
At the same time, the volume of tobacco imports reached $5 million. This figure has increased by 25 percent over the year ($4 million in January 2024).
Meanwhile, the volume of imported beverages totaled $164.7 million in 2024, This figure shows a 26.5 percent growth over a year ($130.2 million in 2023). The tobacco imports amounted to $86.6 million which indicates a 41.2 percent increase compared to $61.3 million in 2023.
