TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 5. Uzbekistan's import of beverages and tobacco stood at $30.7 million from January through February 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Committee shows that this indicator has declined by 7.4 percent year-on-year ($33 million in January-February 2024).
The import of beverages hit the scales at $18.1 million from
January to February 2025, taking a 24.3 percent dip from the
previous year’s tally of $22.5 million during the same stretch in
2024.
Simultaneously, the tobacco import figures hit the $12.6 million
mark. This figure has taken a leap of 20 percent over the year,
ringing in at $10.5 million for January-February 2024.
Meanwhile, the volume of imported beverages totaled $164.7 million in 2024. This figure shows a 26.5 percent growth over a year ($130.2 million in 2023). The tobacco imports amounted to $86.6 million, which indicates a 41.2 percent increase compared to $61.3 million in 2023.
