Iran exports $1.5 billion Gasoline & Diesel

Iran's gasoline exports doubled while diesel exports increased six times, compared to the last Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20, 2011), Mehr News Agency reported, quoting Deputy Oil Minister Alireza Zeyghami.

"Iran's oil products exports during the first four months of the current solar year were above 1.830 million tons, valued $1.5 billion", he said.

Iran exported 500,000 tons of basic gasoline during this period, valued at $478 million, and 18,000 tons of gasoline valued $157 million.

Iran exported 246,000 tons of diesel fuel in the first four months of the current year, valued at $236 million, with an estimated 70,000 tons sent to Afghanistan and Iraq. Gasoline, diesel, basic gasoline, and furnace fuel oil are currently Iran's major products for export.
