BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. The volume of gold bars mined at Mouteh Gold Complex in Iran's Isfahan province increased by 6.2 percent during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Organization for Development and Modernization showed that 136 kilograms of gold bars were produced during the six months at Mouteh Gold Complex. This figure was 128 kilograms in the same period last year.
The gold production for the sixth month (from August 22 through September 21, 2024) was 25 kilograms at the Mouteh Gold Complex. The production of gold bars increased by 13.6 percent for the sixth month compared to the sixth month of last year (from August 23 through September 22, 2023). During the same month last year, gold bullion production amounted to 22 kg.
The Mouteh Gold Complex has a gold processing plant in addition to the gold mines. This plant processes gold and produces bullion. The Iranian Mining Engineering Organization sells the gold bullion that the complex produces.
The Mouteh gold mine sits nestled in Mouteh village, in the heart of Maymeh County, Isfahan Province. The mine was born into existence in 1993, and sparkles with the potential to yield up to 300 tons of pure gold each year.
