Iran is set to double its tire and tube industry’s output by the year 2025, Trend correspondent reported June 3.
According to a masterplan drafted by the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Iran’s tire and tube capacity should increase from the current 363,000 to 700,000 tons per year by that year.
The plan stipulates that the value of tire and tube export should rise from $30.8 million now to $230 million in 2025.
Also, the industry should have created 25,000 jobs by then, which is 15,000 now.
